Dua of a Guest for Host:

If you are a guest at someone’s home, you need to make the dua of a guest for host. It is important that you ask Allah to bless them, for they have taken care of you.

What is dua?

For your knowledge, the word is from the language; Arabic. The literal meaning of dua is a supplication or a prayer.

From the Islamic point of view, this word is a means of talking to Allah. If you want to communicate with Allah, you make a dua.

After performing a Salaat, you make dua as it is necessary. You ask for forgiveness and you are most likely to discuss your issues with Allah through a dua as if you are actually talking to Him. This is the power of a dua.

Allah has sent some duas for you to recite before doing a specific task. There is a separate dua for you to recite before eating a meal, dua before sleeping, dua for traveling, etc.

Supplication of the Guest for the Host:

There is a dua that must be recited for your host if you are someone’s guest;

Translation:

In the name of Allah, most gracious, most merciful.

O Allah, bless for them, that which You have provided them, forgive them and have mercy upon them.

Transliteration:

allaahumma baarik lahum fee maa razaqtahum, waghfir lahum war-ḥamhum

 By reciting this dua, you ask Allah to bless the ones who had taken care of you and gave you to eat. As a host, it is one’s duty to take care of their guest and to provide them with the best. And as a guest, it is one’s duty to bless them before leaving.

It is also appropriate to remember them in your prayers even after you get back home for such people proved to be good towards you.

A person who is kind to you, you must pray for him!
