The Significance of Ramadhan:

This month holds great importance for every Muslim dwelling on this Earth. This month is for fasting which is one of the five pillars of Islam introduced to the Muslims by the last Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him).

Narrated Sahl:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, ‘Where are those who used to observe fasts?’ They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it.”

Fasting is mandatory for every Muslim and no one can neglect this fact because it concerns your belief.

However, in Jordan, the Muslims offer extra prayers in this month and the fasting is done in the daylight hours. Amendments in the working hours are also done to suit the prayer timings of the Muslims.

Although, it is a foreign country for the Muslims, but the religion of Islam is respected in Jordan and Muslims offer their prayers with freedom.
