Surah Yaseen Benefits and Wazaaif to Find Limitless Blessings from Allah:

Surah Yaseen is one of the Makki chapter of the Qur’an, containing 83 (Eighty-three) verses and 5 Rukus, with frequent pauses and short phrases which has a strong effect on the believing soul.

However, Its main subject matter is the same as other Makki soorahs; it speaks of Tawheed al-uloohiyyah and Tawheed al-ruboobiyyah (the Oneness of Allah and of His Lordship) and the punishment for those who disbelieve in that. The issue that is focused on in this surah is the issue of the Resurrection.

The meaning of the word “Yasin” like many other Heavenly words in the Holy Quran is unfamiliar and is only known to the Best Knowledge of Allah (SWT) alone. Surah Ya-Seen was revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), when He (Peace Be Upon Him) was in Mecca.

This Surah mainly focuses that Quran is a divine source. In this Surah, various signs of nature are explained in order to clear that only Allah has sovereign powers.

Surah Yaseen Hadith:

In this post, I am going to share with you benefits of Surah Ya-Seen according to hadith (Daeef Hadith).

“Surely everything has a heart, and the heart of the Quran is Yaseen. I would love that it be in the heart of every person of my people.” (Tafsir-al- Sabuni Vol.2)

Hazrat Jundub ibn Abdullah (R.A) narrates,”Whoever reads Yaseen at night seeking the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala he is forgiven.” (Ibn Habbaan)

Everything has a heart and the heart of the Glorious Quran is Surah Yaseen . Whoever reads Surah Yaseen, Allah records for them a reward equal to that of reading the whole Quran 10 times. (Tirmidhi)

“Whoever recited Surah Yaseen at the night seeking Allah’s approval, Allah would forgive him.” Ibn Hibban, Darimi 3283/A, Abu Yala, Tabarani, Baihaqi & Mardawaih.

“Recite Yaseen on those who are dying.” –Sanan Abi Dawud

From the above hadith, it is recommended to be recited close to the dying person.

This surah is one of the favorite surah of our Beloved Prophet (S.A.W).

“My heart desires that Surah Yaseen should be present in the heart of  every one of my followers.”(Tafseer ibn kaseer)

Main Themes of Ya-Seen:

All the main themes of Quran come in this surah. This surah is divided into three sections and these sections are the main theme of the Surah.

These are the main themes of Surah Yaseen:

  • Tawheed
  • Risalat
  • Akhirat

The Surah Yasin has mainly three basic themes which are Tawheed, Risalat and the reality of Akhirat.

  • Tawheed:

As it is the belief of every Muslim that there is only one God. Allah has all the power, which no one has. He has the Ultimate powers.

So, this Surah very beautifully explains the oneness of Allah by explaining different signs of nature. There are also warnings for the nonbelievers in the Surah.

  • Risalat:

The Holy Prophet (S.A.W) is the Messenger of Allah. He conveyed the message of Allah to the entire world. All Muslims believe in the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and try to follow the teachings of Holy Prophet (S.A.W).

In this surah, there are warnings to the people who do not believe in Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) legitimacy. This chapter explains that the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) is true messenger sent to guide the Muslims on a straight path, with a revelation from the Allah.

  • Akhirat:

One of the main themes in the Surah Yaseen is to believe in hereafter. This Surah explains the non-believers that how Allah will again alive the people on the final day. It explains that God has Supreme and Ultimate powers.

The day of judgment or Aakhirat is the reality. This Surah explains sovereignty and powers of Allah.

Subject of Surah Yaseen:

The chapter of surah Yasin focuses on the establishment of the Quran as a divine source. This is the warning about the fate of those who mock the signs of Allah and insist.

As a warning for those stubborn people who don’t obey Allah. And a warning, to future generations fines chapter tells non-believers that plagued previous generations.

As exemplified by their creations through signs of nature in addition, chapter repeat God’s sovereignty. The end of the surah Yaseen gives the arguments in the favor of the existence Allah’s  sovereign power and Resurrection.
